Annual Pension Increases for April 2010

The Board of Trustees (for GEPF) and the Minister of Finance have given the approval for increases to be granted to Civil pensions, Military and Special pensions with effect from 1 April 2010. Pensioners of the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), Associated Institutions Pension (AIPF) and Temporary Employees Pension fund (TEPF) have been awarded a further differentiated (or catch-up) increase according to their date of retirement.

The implementation instructions are also attached showing the percentage increase for all of the above funds.

The pension increases were implemented over the past weekend from 16:00 on Friday, the 5th of March 2010 to 7:00 on Monday the 8th of March 2010).

Frequency 4 payment instructions were increased prior to the monthly payment run for April 2010 and the increased pensions will receive their increased pensions at the end of April 2010.

Letters advising the details of the increases will be mailed to the pensioners before the end of March 2010. Letters for reprinting will be available on CIVPEN at function 140 as from Thursday, the 11th of March 2010.
